I am ASSISTANT PROFESSOR at the Department of Education's TESL Centre at Concordia University in Montréal.

I TEACH courses in second language vocabulary acquisition, testing and evaluation, methodology and the history of English.

My RESEARCH INTERESTS include the acquisition of second language vocabulary through reading and the use of online tools for learning academic vocabulary. I am also interested in collecting and investigating a corpus of writing produced by child learners of English.

My DISSERTATION RESEARCH investigated the learning effects of multiple exposures to new words in reading contexts and piloted new ways of assessing and predicting lexical growth.
